Buncombe County Confirms First Case of COVID-19 in County Resident

Buncombe County Health and Human Services has confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in a resident of Buncombe County. The person has been notified and remains in isolation at home. They were in isolation from the time testing was performed, following guidance of public health and their healthcare provider. For the full news release from Buncombe County, please click here.

Please do not call 911 to request testing for COVID-19, and please do not go to the emergency room unless you are seriously ill and require emergency care.
