Weekly Biltmore Forest Updates

Town Hall Updates: 

  • Movie in the Park will be happening today! Come watch The Princess Bride with us in Rosebank Park at 8:30pm with the moving beginning at 9pm. Popcorn and drinks will be available.
  • Upcoming club events
    • Biltmore Forest Board Game Club - Meeting at 4pm, Tuesday, July 25th at Town Hall

Police Department Updates:

  • Focused on traffic and speed enforcement.
  • Coordinated a large-scale road closure due to a down tree and lines.
  • Continue to plan and make progress for The National Night Out event on August 1st. 

Public Works Updates:

  • Added fire extinguishers in all trucks
  • Cleaned debris off I40 bridge
  • Completed 3 Tree inspections
  • Collected trash at bus stops along Hendersonville Rd
  • Cut poison ivy off trees at Busbee triangle
  • Mowed, string trimmed, brush removed, and/or mulched
    • Bell Gate island, Brookside, Busbee, Forest Rd island, Hemlock Pond,  Holly Hill island, LVP, north side, road shoulders, and Rosebank Park
  • Removed a fallen tree at 108 Stuyvesant on 7/20/23 and finished up around midnight
  • Removed a tree from Carolina Day entrance
  • Seed and straw disturbed areas in Lower Vanderbilt Park
  • Started borings for bridges at Brookside and Greenwood Park
