Happenings in The Forest - 9/20/2024
Happy Friday! Here's what's happening in The Forest:
Town Hall
- The Board of Adjustment meeting for September will take place on Monday, September 23rd beginning at 4:00pm
- The Design Review Board will conduct their meeting at the Town Hall on September 26, 2024 at 5:30pm.
- A 2024 Election Candidate Forum will be taking place at Town Hall on Wednesday, October 9th at 5:30pm
- A non-partisan resident group has put together an evening for residents to hear from candidates for the Board of Commissioners. Please join to hear from the candidates as they answer key questions to help residents vote in the upcoming 2024 election.
Police Department
- This year, National Night Out will be on Tuesday, October 1st from 4-7 pm at Greenwood Park. We hope to see y’all there!
- National Night Out is an opportunity for law enforcement and the community to come together for interaction when there isn’t an emergency or traffic stop taking place. This allows for relationships to be built and open communication to take place.

- Collected garbage and recycling
- Provided utility locates
- Conducted tree assessments
- Collected daily water chlorine tests
- Serviced dog waste stations
- Mowed and string trimmed north Vanderbilt, road shoulders, Hemlock pond
- Aerated and seeded Townhall, Greenwood Park and Hemlock Pond
- Cleaned Townhall signage in median
- Installed Frith Street sign
- Administered road striping along Stuyvesant Road
- Installed residential water meter
- Collected brush on the North side of town
- Striped water meter locations
