Police Department Resident Reassurance Program
The police department has initiated a resident reassurance program. The program is geared toward seniors and people with disabilities that live alone or just want some added security knowing someone is checking on them everyday. After enrollment, a representative from the police department will call you at least once a day to check on you. If no one answers the phone at the time specified by the resident, then officers are dispatched to check on you.
At this point in time we plan on having the calls made by an actual person. However, if there are a substantial number of people that sign up we will have to go to an automated system. We also plan on making home visits at least once a month unless the resident would rather not have this option. Since we are practicing social distancing during these trying times, we will fill out the registration form over the phone.
